Mr. Edward O’Malley

Five of us used to walk by to see the old guy
We’d throw rocks at him and laugh in his face
But he’d never look up, so we walked by
The strange man with umbrella and tie of lace
Just sitting and waiting for his train to arrive
Till that one day he wasn’t at his normal spot
We searched around the station, he was barely alive
His face to the grown his hands in a knot
In a pool of his own blood he lay
A knife to the heart and bullet to the brain
His umbrella broken and ten feet away
Right there in broad daylight the old man was slain
It’s been over ten years the murder unsolved
But it’s far from forgotten we’ll get those involved
